Day Camp Experience

Experience the ultimate summer adventure with Texas Wake Academy! Campers dive into fun, forge friendships, and build skills on and off the water. From wakeboarding and wakesurfing to swimming and games, there’s something for everyone. With no prior experience required, every camper is ready to enjoy an unforgettable summer!

NEW LOCATION: Lake LBJ Yacht Club & Marina in Horseshoe Bay, Texas.

AGES: Open to campers age 6-15.

LUNCH: Campers should bring a packed lunch, reusable water bottle, and optional money for snacks at the Marina Ship Store.

  • Morning and afternoon snacks are provided, and refill stations are available.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Wakeboards, surfboards, life jackets, and all equipment will be provided.

  • Campers may also bring their own gear if preferred.

Day Camp Sessions

​Full-Day Sessions run Monday through Friday. The shuttle service from Lake Travis operates from an 8:00 AM drop-off to a 4:30 PM pick-up, while local drop-off runs from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM.

 

Mondays are dedicated entirely to wakeboarding and wakesurfing, giving campers a solid foundation to start the week. Tuesday through Friday, half of the day features a three-hour block of wakeboarding and wakesurfing instruction to enhance campers skills. The other half consists of two 1.5-hour activity periods, with activities rotating daily and varying by group and session.

Sample Day at Camp

8:45 am - Camper arrival. Find your group. Sun screen. 

 

8:50 am - Daily lesson. Water safety discussion. Warm-up and stretching. 

 

9:00 am - 1st Activity: Wakeboard & wake surf instruction.​

12:00 pm - Lunch, announcements, & sunscreen.

12:45 pm - 2nd Activity: Pickleball.

2:15 pm - 3rd Activity: Free swim.

3:45 pm - Camper departure.
